Bare Bawds Theatre Company

Bare Bawds is a theatre company, originally based at Christ's Hospital Theatre, where, as well as mounting professional plays, it was also involved in a wide range of community productions. Under its aegis, and its earlier incarnation, CHAOS, Bare Bawds staged shows as diverse as The Beggar's Opera, John Watts Dream Children, The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, Paul Ward's Nell Gwyn, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Blue Remembered Hills, Two and currently The Golden Pathway Annual.

Bare Bawds has also been the driving force in a series of productions seen nationally; Julian Garner's Cyril's Little Moments of Weakness and Strength and Jeffrey Mayhew's Swift and Cooking With Puccini. Currently in rehearsal is Jeffrey Mayhew's Bright is the Ring of Words. A revival and tour of Cooking With Puccini is in preparation.

Using professionals, students and people from the wider community Bare Bawds aims to produce theatre and musical theatre - both old and new - to the highest standard.
